IE Business School and Caja Madrid created the Venture Lab to serve as a catalyst for business projects proposed by IE students and alumni. IE and Caja Madrid signed an agreement to fund and consolidate the business start-ups of IE students and graduates who want to make their projects a reality.
The agreement evidences Caja Madrid’s commitment to business development in Spain and worldwide. Venture lab will serve to strengthen the funding of past, present and future business projects.
The aim is to create a competitive environment in which different committees comprised of experts in the field of entrepreneurship from IE and Caja Madrid will submit IE students’ and graduates’ business plans to a rigorous selection process culminating in the presentation of successful projects . Business plan authors will have access to preferential loans and a series of additional services, including legal advice, marketing and communication services, mentoring, etc. Hence Caja Madrid will be able to select the projects it finds most interesting and enable the companies to increase their investment or to launch a new project from scratch.
IE Business School would like to thank Caja Madrid for making this initiative a reality, and for the constant support if gives to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship at IE Business School.
IE Venture Day and the Business Plan competition bring different collaboration opportunities, and seek to generate new investment opportunities for firms, institutions and other stakeholders interested in entrepreneurship.
